Methinks this semester is going to be a little hectic... I graduated from my undergrad program way back in 2003. That seems like lifetimes ago when I compare where I was then to where my life is now. Fall 2009 was my grand return back into the academic world. I was in an extremely fortunate position that I was staying at home with my then 5 month old son, so I was able to ease my way into the student mindset with a relatively easy two classes a semester. Now here I am one year (and 15 credits) later and my schedule is radically different. While I'm still taking my two graduate classes this semester, I'm also juggling a SUNY Online Spanish course to make up an undergrad deficiency, as well as holding down a long-term sub position at an early intervention preschool. Throw in family responsibilities (with a very active toddler) and you have a full schedule. I know I'm certainly not the first or only student who feels like they have way too much on their plate, so good luck to all of us! Plenty of people before me have pulled it off and I'm confident I will find a way to get it all done too. I just need to take it one day at a time and remember to stop and smell the roses once in a while.
